Steel Roses 5-0 Uzbekistan in Yongchuan

In their opening match of the Yongchuan International Women's Football Championship, the Chinese women's national team faced Uzbekistan. In the 43rd minute, Zhang Xin broke the deadlock. During first-half stoppage time, Shao Ziqin found the net to give China a 2–0 lead. In the 69th minute, Li Mengwen scored a stunning long-range goal to extend the lead to 3–0. In the 87th minute, Liu Jing converted a penalty to make it 4–0. Just before the final whistle, Wang Yanwen added another goal to seal a 5–0 victory, giving China a winning start to the tournament.
