Tang Qianting made an Asian record

In the women's 100m breaststroke semifinals at the 2024 Budapest Short Course Swimming World Championships, Chinese swimmer Tang Qianting set a new Asian record with a time of 1:02.37. Notably, this time was just 0.01 seconds shy of the world record. This also marked the 10th time this year that Tang Qianting has broken the Asian record.
