The day before, in the first round of the Wimbledon women's doubles, Zhu Lin partnered with Wang Xiyu. They squandered a 7-3 lead and a match point in the decisive tiebreak and were ultimately reversed and knocked out. Losing both singles and doubles matches in such a way, by wasting opportunities, seems quite regrettable.
