China, as a Pot 5 team is drawn in to the Group C with Japan (Pot 1), Australia (Pot 2), Saudi Arabia (Pot 3), Bahrain (Pot 4)  and Indonesia (Pot 6). Top 2 secure tickets to the FIFA World Cup. 3rd and 4th place teams advance to the playoffs.
