In the CFA 2nd round, Zibo Qisheng defeated Jinan Xingzhou, their inter-provincial rival through penalty shootout. The minnow, which became the 1st CL2 team advancing to the 3rd round, garnered the coveted opportunity to take on Beijing Guoan.
